After being woken up at 4am, doing the school run, walking round Pack Monday and working left me with a headache yesterday so I didn't manage to post this, sorry everyone.

The day started off with being woken at 4am by my 'darling daughter' waking up, and she was wide awake, me being the good mum I am took her in the iPad and went back to bed. Due to our appalling internet speed this tactic failed to work as she couldn’t watch anything, which resulted in disturbed sleep and a tired mummy.

We were running late for the morning school run and my keys were nowhere to be found, seriously I'm tired, we are late and this is the last thing I need this morning. After trying to quickly look for them I resorted to getting the spare key, which set off the alarm, sorry to my neighbour for that. You will be please to know that I did later find my keys on top of the DVD player, which is of course where I had left them......NOT! Thanks kids yet again.

My daughter and I returned home from the School run, gathered our things and off we went to Sherborne for their annual Pack Monday. For those of you that do not know what Pack Monday is, it is a fair that takes place every year on the first Monday after October 10th.

Throughout the streets of Sherborne there are market stalls and The Terrace has a funfair. It apparently started in 1409 and the tradition forms from the completion of the abbey as the day they packed up their tools.....hence the name Pack Monday.

It was a lovely outing for me and my daughter, especially as she ended up getting spoilt, hyper from sugar and giving us the run around up and down the streets.

I had one of those bad mummy moments when we returned to the car and I realised that I hadn't bought anything for my son, but explained to him that me and him will do something just the two of us soon and he seemed fine.

I returned home with a few bargains, sleepy child and an awful headache. All I wanted to

do was sleep to be honest but no the joys of parenthood prevent you from doing such a thing as someone has to cook the dinner and make sure the chores are done, and unfortunately that person is me.

Once dinner was cooked, which was some lovely pies I had bought from the market, typically it was a stall which is regularly in Yeovil, not a bad thing as I will be back for more as the family loved them. (Thank you Catley Chilled Foods).

My day was not over, I still had a parent's evening to attend and my evening cleaning job, but will talk about those another day.
