I said to myself last night that I was not going to raise my voice today with the kids, well I made it to 8.16am and guess what, I have raised my voice.

With kids bouncing off the walls, the tumble dryer telling me it’s done and hakuna matata playing, all whilst not yet having had my coffee, I was on the verge of pulling my hair out.

I will add that the other half is off this week and was, and I mean WAS, having a lie-in (would love to know what a lie-in is!?) due to the kids normally coming into our room (as he is not normally there) while I get ready resulted in him, well let's just say he was not in a good mood......word of advice honey, don’t pick a week when we have to do School runs, play groups etc. to book a week off.

His words were ‘I will start to get ready in here and make a noise when I get up at 3 am’ WTF!? Who is the one who gets up for the kids in the night...would that be me, yes it would. So screw you and your so called lie-in.

What a fantastic start to the day, I decided there and then to change my way of thinking, positive thoughts only please, let's ensure the rest of the day will not be the same. On the way to school I started with saying to myself 'there will be a parking space next to the school', and as we pulled into the car park there was not one but four spaces.......Thank you.

Things were looking up, we were then early for playgroup which we had arranged to go to only the evening before......okay, okay it might of been down to the fact that we went there straight from the school run but I was taking it as a win.

Playgroup went well, we both had a good time, I managed to actually have a chat with a couple of the other mums there, there may have been a couple of times she got possessive about the roller coaster car, which I kind of wish they did one for adults, how much fun would that be.

As she was jumping the queue and diving onto the car, I was then trying to pull her off whilst the little bugger still has hold of the car, so I am now trying to remove her hands off, and now have hold of both her and the car whilst telling her to SHARE. It's not that hard you take a turn, let a few other kids have a go, then it's your go again but trying to get a two year old to understand that is a whole different battle.

Eventually I succeeded removing my daughter from the car leaving her with a face like a slapped bum and bottom lip out. I tried again explaining to her 'All you have to do is wait your turn, why don't we go play with another car' her response 'no' oh how I love the word 'no'.......not!

After we returned home, my partner was up and ready to go to the studio for a couple of evenings (work, as he calls it) to play his guitar and write some songs.....oh, okay, see you later love, not jealous at all of your two nights away from the hectic house.

Well I am now sat writing this and taking a few moments for myself, while my daughter watches Minion movie and eating an orange....about the only time she is quiet is when she is eating.

On that note I am going to say cheerio to you all to start the afternoon / evening routine that consists of cooking, cleaning and then off to work, the joys.

Love to you all
