Although the title of this is Quiche making with the kids, I would like to point out that as my son was with his dad this weekend, that's right he isn't with us all the time but we will talk about that in the near future, it was just me and the daughter cooking.

So after months of my partner asking me to make my quiche he is madly in love with, I finally got round to doing it this weekend, I also managed to get my daughter to actually help.

I got most of the ingredients together before she became interested in helping mummy, you should of seen how quickly I cracked the eggs knowing she was approaching, although I did let her mix them, because I'm nice like that.

It was lovely to have her in the kitchen helping, she then put the peas on top of the foil, and managed not to chuck them everywhere which was an added bonus. As the tasks in the kitchen got boring she also lost enthusiasm for helping, I think she also noticed it was nearly time to tidy up the mess we had made. So once again I was left finish cooking and tidy up, oh goody lucky me.

The quiche was a hit with the family, and my friend who popped in for a chat. I have put a link below for the quiche. I would highly recommend this recipe, give it a go, maybe let your kids crack the eggs and not be a control freak like me.

Here is the recipe for Ultimate Quiche Lorraine, thank you good food, this is a recipe I use every time to make my quiches, when I get round to it.

Quick note: I do tend to triple the recipe and make a large quiche, look at my post tomorrow to see what we did with the left over pastry.

Take care all
