Leftover Pastry.....mmmm what to make?

As promised this is my post about what I did with the left over pastry from the quiche.

I toyed with making a lemon meringue pie which would of used up the egg whites left over pastry. Then I had a suggestion to make a treacle tart....mmmmm my favourite.

I now have other plans for the egg whites, to make little meringue ghosts for Halloween mwhahaha.

So with the decision made to make a treacle tart I recruited some help to make some little stars to go on top.....again my daughter only did one but she still helped.

I have to say I honestly did not realise how easy treacle tart was to make, we followed the Mary Berry recipe (link below) and it was amazing.

It was too good to share with the kids, so the adults of the house had it once she was in bed with some double cream.....Lush.
